Most South Florida yards do not have room to drop a tree. Live oaks hang over tile roofs. Palms sit two feet off a pool cage. Fences, neighboring houses, and service lines eat the workspace. That's climbing and rigging work: piece the canopy down, lower limbs on ropes, bring a crane when a tree is too big or too dangerous to climb. Bucket trucks where they fit. Climbers where they don't.

The work

Tree trimming and pruning. Crown thinning, canopy raising, deadwooding, and shaping so the tree stays healthy, off the roof, and able to flex in a storm. A dense canopy catches wind. Deadwood falls on its own schedule. We don't “hurricane cut” a healthy tree down to stubs, that stresses it, forces weak regrowth, and makes the next storm worse. Proper structural pruning and wind-thinning is what actually helps a tree get through hurricane season, and it's what we do.

Shade trees we work on every week include live oak, black olive, mahogany, ficus, and gumbo limbo. Palms are a different plant: old fronds, seed pods, and boots come off without over-cutting the crown. Most shade trees here want a trim every one to three years; anything hanging over a roof may need it yearly. Palms are usually once a year.

Tree removal. Dead, dying, leaning, cracked, lifting a driveway, or planted in the wrong spot. We take trees down in controlled sections over houses, pools, fences, and driveways, then haul the wood. Removal leaves a low stump. If you want the stump gone too, we grind it 6–12 inches below grade so you can replant or re-sod, and we'll quote both together. Haul-off is included. Want some wood cut for firewood and left on site? Say so.

Storm and emergency tree service. Trees on homes, garages, cars, fences, and pool cages. Limbs blocking a driveway. Split trunks, hanging widow-makers, and the mess a named storm or a summer squall leaves behind. Storm calls get priority during our working hours. We make the property safe first, then chip and haul. If you need photos of the tree and the damage for a homeowner’s claim, we can document it before we start. A tree that hit a structure is often a claim; taking out a healthy tree you just do not want is usually on you. We'll be honest about which one you have.

We also grind leftover stumps, clear overgrown lots, and handle commercial and HOA properties. Same crew. Same cleanup.

A chipper comes on every trim. We chip the brush, haul the wood, and rake and blow the area down. Chipping, hauling, and disposal are in the quote, not a second bill for debris.

Permits

A lot of removals in Broward County need a city permit, and some cities want a replacement planting. Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood, Coral Springs, and most of the cities we work in have their own rules. Normal pruning usually does not need a permit, but some cities restrict how much you can take off a protected tree.

We flag permit needs on the estimate and can guide you through the paperwork, or handle it as part of the job. Dead and clearly hazardous trees are typically easier to approve than a healthy shade tree. We'll tell you that before you spend money.
