Why prep your trees before the season

Every summer, South Florida's storms and hurricanes turn weak, overgrown, and diseased trees into projectiles. A little proactive work now is far cheaper than a tree through your roof later, and it can lower the odds of a claim, a road blockage, or a downed power line on your property. We assess your trees for risk and take out the hazards before the wind finds them.

What hurricane prep includes

  • Trimming and reducing overextended, heavy, or overhanging limbs
  • Removing dead, weak, leaning, or storm-damaged trees
  • Thinning dense canopies so wind passes through instead of pushing the tree over
  • Clearing limbs away from the roof, power lines, and structures
  • Checking for rot, disease, and root problems that make a tree likely to fail
  • Full cleanup, we chip and haul everything away

Do it early, spots fill fast

Once a storm is named, everyone calls at once and prep work becomes impossible. Booking early in the season means you get your pick of dates and your property is ready when it counts. Call (954) 754-6673 for a free assessment and quote.

Good to know

Common questions

When should I get my trees prepped?
Before hurricane season is in full swing, ideally late spring through early summer, but any time before a storm is better than after. Once a hurricane is on the way, it is usually too late to safely trim.
Does trimming really prevent storm damage?
It meaningfully lowers the risk. Thinning the canopy lets wind pass through, and removing dead or weak limbs and trees takes away the pieces most likely to break off and cause damage.
How much does hurricane tree prep cost?
It depends on the number and size of trees and how much work each needs. We give a free, itemized estimate up front so there are no surprises.
How is this different from your storm and emergency service?
Prep is proactive work done before a storm to prevent damage. Our storm and emergency service is the after, clearing fallen and damaged trees once a storm has already hit.
